Sophic, an online platform that enables clients to invest in government bills, announced this week its intention to secure a portion of this new issue, continuing its strategy from previous rounds.

“These bills provide attractive returns and serve as a safe haven for non-professional investors and businesses looking to manage their liquidity effectively,” the company stated.

In prior issues, Sophic, along with Athlos Capital, the independent investment company behind the platform, acquired a substantial portion of the government bills issued by the Republic of Cyprus. According to the company, this approach “provided their clients with the opportunity to invest in products offering particularly appealing returns, notably higher than those offered by bank deposit rates.”

The last two issues of quarterly government bills by the Republic of Cyprus yielded returns of 3.67 percent and 3.74 percent, respectively.

In addition to government bills issued by the Republic of Cyprus, Sophic has also previously offered access to high-credit-rated government bills from other entities, including the European Union, France, and Germany.
