The national organization Invest Cyprus announced on Thursday that Marios Tannousis has been chosen to serve as its new CEO.
The release read, "The Board of Directors of Invest Cyprus has unanimously decided on the appointment of Marios Tannousis as the new CEO of Invest Cyprus after undergoing a selection process."
Formerly, Marios Tannousis worked at Invest Cyprus as the deputy CEO. He has more than 25 years of experience working for international corporations, including 12 years in economic development and investments.
"His role has been instrumental in the establishment of the Investment Fund Industry in Cyprus as well as the recent inbound investments of Technology companies in Cyprus," said Invest Cyprus.
Additionally, Tannousis serves as a board member for both the Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA) and the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA).
He serves on the board of directors for ANIMA, the Euro Mediterranean Investment Network.
The new CEO of Invest Cyprus also holds an MBA from Mankato State University in the United States and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) in the United Kingdom. He also holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Rutgers University and a certificate in financial technology from Oxford University's Said Business School.
Tannousis, has also represented Cyprus in multiple international and european conferences in the past.
