Tokyo-based financial services company SBI Group has launched a crypto asset fund comprising seven different cryptocurrencies.
According to SBI, it is the first fund investing directly in crypto assets and accessible to retail investors to be launched in Japan.The seven cryptocurrencies included in the fund are bitcoin, ethereum, polkadot, chainlink, litecoin, xrp and bitcoin cash.The SBI Alternative Fund GK will be available for applications between December 17 and January 31, 2022.SBI has been involved in a number of crypto-related ventures in recent years. It acquired the UK-based crypto services firm B2c2 and partnered with Boerse Stuttgart in 2019 to provide crypto services throughout Europe and Asia.
