Teslin Capital Management has appointed BNP Paribas Securities Services to administer the depot bank and custody services for the €1.2 billion in worldwide assets managed by Teslin Capital.
In addition, BNP Paribas will provide customised investing and fund administration services for these assets.
Teslin Capital Management is a long-term investor that focuses on small- and medium-sized businesses in the Netherlands and other European capital markets.
Koos van der Helm, manager of finance, operations, and risk at Teslin Capital Management, said, “We were impressed with BNP Paribas’s capabilities and solutions and their ability to meet our specific needs and requirements for the benefit of our clients.”
Several European corporations have chosen BNP Paribas Securities Services for custody services in the past year.
Assets worth €16 billion were entrusted to BNP Paribas Securities Services by Dutch private banking firm Van Lanschot Kempen (VLK) in October.
In this transaction, BNP Paribas supplied Kempen Capital Management with global custody, depositary bank, fund accounting, regulatory reporting, and collateral management.
According to its first quarter profits, BNP Paribas was also awarded a €300 billion custody mandate throughout the wider Eurozone in March. However, the customer was not identified.
Simultaneously, along with Helaba Invest, BNP Paribas was picked by Provinzial Asset Management to serve the German asset manager's full €50 billion investment portfolio.
