Leading operator Betway has secured the prestigious position of official betting partner for the National Bank Open, a prominent ATP Masters 1000 tennis tournament scheduled from August 5 to August 13 in Toronto. The tournament will take place at the Sobeys Stadium, culminating with the final match at the Centre Court.
The multi-year partnership will feature Betway's branding prominently displayed courtside, including marketing materials showcased on the back wall of the Sobeys Stadium throughout the eight-day event. The National Bank Open, steeped in history and celebrated among tennis enthusiasts, presents an opportunity for Betway to bolster its presence in the world of tennis sponsorships.
Carlos Alcaraz, the reigning Wimbledon Champion and World Number 1, is set to make his debut in Toronto on August 9, adding to the tournament's allure.
Betway Group CEO Anthony Werkman expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We’re delighted to welcome the National Bank Open to the Betway family. This competition is steeped in history and is a firm-favourite for tennis fans, so we’re obviously very excited to be a partner as we continue to be known as the number one betting brand within tennis."
Betway's involvement in the ATP Tour extends beyond the Toronto Open, encompassing other renowned stages such as the Hamburg European Open, Rio Open, and Miami Open.
Tennis Canada Chief Commercial Officer Rob Swann welcomed Betway into the fold of corporate partners, emphasizing the collaborative efforts to deliver a remarkable event for fans. He said, "We look forward to working closely with them as part of this multi-year agreement as we deliver an exceptional event for our fans."
Betway's commitment to tennis extends beyond sponsorships, as the company has also participated in the Canadian athlete education program initiated earlier this year, joining other prominent industry players like IBIA, bet365, and FanDuel in supporting the initiative.
